SyncroSVN.app does not work under OSX 10.9 Mavericks

Downloaded and installed the latest JVM. syncroSVNClientMac.sh launches fine; but the "Syncro SVN Client.app" does not launch. Any idea whether this is a permissions or signing issue?

Hello,

What version of Syncro SVN Client are you using?

We have tested Syncro SVN Client 9.0 with OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) and it works as expected. For the Syncro SVN Client.app to start, Java SE 6 from Apple is required to be installed.
When you start the .app, the system detects that the application requires Java SE 6 and if it is not already installed, it prompts you to install it.
If this doesn't happen for you, you can manually install the Java SE 6 distribution available from Apple:
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572
The same Java SE 6 package is used by OS X 10.7, 10.8 and 10.9.

Note that Java SE 7 from Oracle is not recognized or supported by the .app at this time (Syncro SVN Client 9.0).

Adrian

I made the mistake of installing Java SE 7 from Oracle. Will follow your instructions and revert to Java SE 6 from Apple. [I am using v9 of Syncro SVN]

Followed the instructions here (http://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/we ... c-jdk.html) to uninstall JDK 7, followed the link Adrian provided to install JDK 6 and now the app launches as before. Thanks for the assistance!

Hi,

I wouldn't say installing Java SE 7 was a mistake. Syncro SVN Client 9 doesn't use it at this time, but other Java applications might make use it.
Note that on OS X Java SE 7 from Oracle can coexist with Java SE 6 from Apple. They do not exclude each other, so it's not necessary to remove one to install the other.

On another note, for Java applets in the web browser only Java SE 7 from Oracle is available.

Adrian
