It is a pain to require the movement of both windows to see what has been changed on long lines.

Is there a way to synchronize the horizontal movement of files while doing a compare?

No, there is no way in the current version (version 3.2) to synchronize the horizontal scroll bars of the left panel and the right panel. We will implement that in a future version.

We have implemented the feature to enable/disable synchronized horizontal/vertical scrolling in the Diff editor and it will be available in the next release of Syncro SVN Client.
