Apache Subversion 1.8
Apache
SubversionTM (SVN) is a versioning system, designed as a replacement
of CVS. Its features include:
- Files, directories and symbolic links are versioned
- Native support for binary files
- File properties and MIME
types
- The copy/move/rename file actions preserve the history
- Pristine file copies kept locally
- File locking
- Atomic commits
- Multiple repository access protocols: HTTP,
HTTPS, SVN, SVN+SSH
- Support for local repositories through FILE protocol
- Optimized repository access
- History of all changes in the repository
- Branching and merging
- Merge tracking
Subversion is a good choice for sharing/storing large collections of files that change
frequently. Subversion stores the differences
between revisions in an efficient database and minimizes the network load footprint - only
the differences are sent between the SVN client and the server.
Syncro SVN Client offers support for Subversion 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7 and 1.8.
